The linking highway between Lhasa and Kathmandu is the most popular route of Tibet and one of the most spectacular in Asia. Furthermore, it links many of the most attractive spots that Tibet offers. The chinese national 318 runs in a southwesterly direction to reach the border with Nepal. In the Nepalese side continues for 115 km along the road until you reach Araniko Kathmandu, the capital.
We will turn off from the main road shortly to see with our own eyes the top of the world: the Qomolangma, name for Mount Everest in tibetan. Later we will leave it behind to explore a region that hides abundant wildlife: the Peiku lakes and the Shisha Pangma Base Camp, the lowest of the 14 eight-thousanders. In total, we will travel over 1,200 kilometers across mountain passes over 5,000 m.

Dry and clear skies from October to April. Best choice would be May and September-October. Winter is also a great time to visit Tibet, but snow can block road access to some points of interest. Trekking season between May and October. It is NOT possible to travel in February / March.
Lhasa and surroundings. The capital of Tibet is the spiritual and cultural heart of Tibet. Throughout history in its outskirts the most important cultural and power centers were concentrated.
The Friendship highway. The route that connects Lhasa with the border with Nepal is the most popular Tibetan route and one of the most spectacular of Asia. It even connects many of the most touristic areas that Tibet has to offer.
Everest Base Camp. Located 5,000 meters above sea level, adventurers can camp near the majestic north face of the highest mountain on the planet: the Qomolangma, name given to Mount Everest in Tibetan language.
Mount Kailash. The axis of world for the cultures that venerate it and its also the father of four great rivers of Asia. It is the most sacred mountain in the whole continent, and out of respect for those cultures has never been climbed. Encircle it by walking through the pilgrimage path (kora) and it will will free from every sin that we have committed according to local beliefs.
Guge Kingdom. The enigmatic ruins of the citadel of Tsaparang dominate the spectacular scenery of the far west corner of Tibet. These ruins are the only evidence of a great civilization unknown until recent decades.
