Härjedalen, located in south Sapmi / Lapland is one of the best sites in Scandinavia to enjoy the snow at the beginning of the season. It is located in the interior, away from the ocean, which ensures an arctic winter climate. Funäsdalen, located in western Härjedalen, is 580 Km of Stockholm and is a ski resort with the most snow in Sweden.
It is the alpine region located in the southern most part of Sweden, with the highest mountains in the south of the Arctic Circle. The region has perfect natural spaces to adventure in winter, from challenging the snow with skis, enjoying nature and knowing the culture of this area.

The Sami / Laplander Mittådalen and Ruvhten communities and other still active ancient mountain settlements create a unique character with its mix of cultures. Here, the Sami reindeer herders graze freely in the wild with animals like the musk ox, bear, wolf, wolverine, arctic fox, eagles and lynx. The smell of fresh snow hits against your nose. There is the sound of silence of the great spaces, the endless views of pure and white landscape, a sense of space, freedom and fresh air that you will never want to leave as you tour… The week-long adventure, taking place on the sub-Arctic plateau of the Jamtland Mountains, will take in Alpine terrain, Sweden’s most Southerly glacier, vast open expanses and, during the wild camp, offer the chance to see the magnificent Northern Lights. The itinerary may be changed to suit the group or prevailing weather conditions.
Day 1 - Arrive in Oslo, train to Roros (Norway), transfer to Tännas (Sweden), overnight in guesthouse
Day 2 - After a rich breakfast in our cabin, we move to Tänndalen to observe the musk ox in its natural habitat. These animals have plenty of space here and their food is natural. From the raised platform in the center of protection you have the opportunity to see this prehistoric animal. In the afternoon we visit Funasdalen or Mittådalen. Lodging in private cabin. Breakfast, Dinner.
Day 3 - After breakfast, we go to Ljungdalen in a van. You will have a guided tour by snowmobile in the wilderness of Swedish Lapland–undoubtedly an amazing activity and a good way to discover this nature rarely visited by foreigners. Lodging in private cabin. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 4 - We will leave with our own mini expedition on skis or snowshoes in order to get to the Öjön lake to observe the Helags mountain, which is 1797 meters above the sea. Helags is also the highest peak in the south of the Arctic Circle. At night we leave to look for the Northern Lights. Lodging in private cabin. Breakfast, lunch, dinner.
Day 5 - Breakfast and departure for a tour of ice fishing. In the afternoon / night we leave to look for the Northern Lights. Lodging in private cabin. Breakfast, picnic, dinner
Day 6 - Breakfast in the early morning and transfer to Orrviken (2 hours and half) The cabins are located in Orrviken and offer views of Lake Storsjön and its mountains. The property has an enclosure with moose and you can go on a guided tour to see the moose.
Day 7 - Transfer to the Ostersund train station. We will take the train to the south (approx 04: 45h) to Stockholm Arlanda. Flight to destination in the afternoon. Breakfast.
