Called Mangitau by locals and translated as “The Mount Above Miles of Mountains”, the Elbrus attracts a larger number of mountaineers each season in search of conquest of one of the 7 summits. Elbrus is the highest mountain in Europe and the Caucasus mountain range. This short expedition can be measured in 8 days and requires good physical preparation for the maximum guarantees of achieving the dream summit. 10-day travel option to improve acclimatization.

TRAVEL ITINERARY

DAy 1. ORIGIN FLIGHT – MOSCOW – MINERALNYE VODY – BAKSAN VALLEY
Arrival and reception. Transfer of the group (4 hours by bus) to the mountain hotel in the Elbrus area.

Hotel accommodation, Elbrus.

DAY 2. PICO CHEGET
Breakfast.

Breakfast at the hotel. Acclimatization ascent to Cheget Peak (3,450 m). Magnificent panoramic views of the Elbrus. Decline.

DAY 3. ACCLIMATION DAY
Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Transfer in the morning to the Azau station. From there we will take the ski lifts to the Gara-Bashi station at 3800 meters. Acclimatization hike up to approximately 4,200-4,400 meters. Return and overnight in refuge at 3,800 m.

Tent accommodation, Gara – Bashi.

DAY 4. PASTUKHOVA ROCKS
Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Acclimatization day. Hike up to 4,800 meters (Pastukhova Rocks). I return to the refuge. Night at 3,800 m.

DAY 5. ASCENS TO ELBRUS (5.642 M)
Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

We will leave for the summit at 3 AM. The path is clear and direct until you win the pass that separates both summits of the Elbrus. Approximate ascent time: 7 hours. Descent to the refuge in about 3 hours.

DAY 6. REST DAY FOR THE ASCENT TO THE ELBRUS
Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

Second chance to climb to the summit.

Accommodation in tents, Gara- Bashi.

DAY 7. DESCENT TO THE BAKSAN VALLEY
Breakfast, lunch, dinner.

If we have made the ascent to the first attempt this day we will have it free to walk around, shop or rest. Night in hotel. If our ascent has been during day 6, this day we will return to the Baksan Valley and return to the hotel.

DAY 8. RETURN TO MINERALNYE VODY. FLIGHT HOME
Breakfast.

Road trip to Mineralnye Vody to board the flight back home. Arrival home in the evening.

Day 1: Origin flight – Moscow – Mineralnye Vody – Baksan Valley
Day 2: Cheget Peak
Day 3: Acclimatization up to 4,100 m
Day 4: Base camp at 3,800 m and acclimatization up to 4,500 m
Day 5: Acclimatization up to 5,000 m
Day 6: Rest day
Day 7: Ascent to Elbrus (5,642 m)
Day 8: Possible second attempt to the top
Day 9: Descent to the Baksan Valley
Day 10: Return to Mineralnye Vody. fly home
