departure: November - March
Duration: 18 days

The Great North of Chile is a world of fascinating geological nature characterized by hosting one of the driest deserts on the planet: the Atacama Desert. Despite this, in the Andes mountain range, life arises on the shores of multi-colored lakes, where condors, pumas and flamingos live in the shadow of imposing volcanoes such as Llullaillaco (6,740 m), Aucanquilcha (6,176 m) , the Acamarachi (6,046 m), the Sairecabur (6,006 m) or the Licancabur (5,916 m). From Calama we will move to the tourist heart of the area, San Pedro de Atacama, from where we will visit the main attractions of the Chilean Altiplano. Places and landscapes that reveal their secrets and beauty to us. These visits will allow us to get in shape and perform the correct acclimatization to face the mountaineering challenges that we have planned. We will ascend a total of five beautiful mountains, four of them overcoming the magical barrier of six thousand meters.

Our final objective, to ascend to the Ojos del Salado (6,893 m), the highest volcano on the planet and the second highest mountain in America, in addition to the roof of Chile. Located in one of the most spectacular areas and with the highest concentration of mountains of six thousand meters in the Chilean Andes. We will place our base camp next to the beautiful Laguna Verde, at a height of 4,275 meters.
