Nepal es cruzado por la gran Cordillera del Himalaya, y posee dentro de sus fronteras un total de 8 cumbres que superan los ochomil metros. Pakist\u00e1n, sin embargo, posee una estructura m\u00e1s completa de cordilleras, macizos y monta\u00f1as. Se encuentra a caballo de 2 grandes cordilleras, la cordillera del Karakorum y la del Hindu Kush. La primera es la m\u00e1s espectacular, compacta y agreste de todas las cordilleras del sistema himal\u00e1yico, y en ella se encuentran 5 monta\u00f1as que sobrepasan la m\u00e1gica barrera de los 8000 metros, entre las cuales la segunda monta\u00f1a m\u00e1s alta del planeta, el K2 con sus 8611 metros de altura.<\/p><p>Nuestro viaje nos llevar\u00e1 hasta el coraz\u00f3n del Karakorum, a trav\u00e9s de un espectacular trekking de 62 km recorriendo el valle y el glaciar del Baltoro, hasta alcanzar Concordia, un privilegiado lugar situado en la encrucijada de cuatro grandes glaciares: Baltoro, Godwin Austin, Gasherbrum y Vigne. Desde aqu\u00ed, y con vista a cuatro cumbres de m\u00e1s de 8000 metros, accederemos al campo base del K2, ubicado casi a 5.150 metros de altura. En las jornadas siguientes cruzaremos el paso Gondogoro La, a 5.700 metros, punto m\u00e1s alto del trekking, para descender hacia el valle de Una zona espectacular de aut\u00e9ntico ambiente y paisaje salvaje.<br \/>\nDescenderemos en canoa canadiense (canoa doble y triple) una secci\u00f3n de este<br \/>\nic\u00f3nico r\u00edo hasta la famosa localidad de Dawson City, capital de la fiebre del oro en<br \/>\nel Klondike durante el comienzo del siglo XIX y donde actualmente sigue habiendo<br \/>\nextracci\u00f3n de este preciado metal, aunque se han sustituido las panelas y la<br \/>\npaciencia por grandes y pesadas m\u00e1quinas que mueven toneladas de terreno<br \/>\ncada d\u00eda.<br \/>\nDedicaremos el d\u00eda de llegada y el posterior a familiarizarnos con nuestro \u201cnuevo<br \/>\nhorario\u201d aceptando el gran jet lag que arrastramos mientras hacemos las gestiones<br \/>\ny los preparativos previos a nuestro descenso.<br \/>\nVer las diferentes canoas que utilizaremos, c\u00f3mo cargarlas de forma adecuada y<br \/>\nel diferente equipo y materiales espec\u00edficos que utilizaremos.<br \/>\nNo olvidaremos un importante factor en este tipo de territorios y viajes, la vida<br \/>\nsalvaje, algo a lo que no hay que temer, pero si darle el respeto que merece y<br \/>\nnecesita.<br \/>\nDedicaremos el tiempo necesario para hablar sobre seguridad y c\u00f3mo actuar ante<br \/>\ndiferentes situaciones que puedan sobrevenir.
